Trip Overview Ethnic Langtang Excursion
These treks offer a variety of picturesque villages and breathtaking views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, and the Langtang Ranges. Central Nepal is a fine introduction into some of the more off-the-beaten path trekking as the terrain is constant, but not too steep, and the altitude is relatively low. This is one of the few areas that are best visited in winter as the summer months can get a bit hot.Langtang is one of the least trekked, yet one of the most beautiful, trekking areas. Located north of the Kathmandu Valley, the route goes through traditional and ethnic villages and untouched forests on the way to the peaks of Langtang-Lirung. This trek reveals the contrast between the Hindu culture of the Kathmandu Valley and the Buddhist culture to the immediate north of Kathmandu. The highlights of this tour include the visit to Langtang Valley, Kyangin Gompa (monastery) and the Lirung Glacier.
Moderate To strenuous trekking and lodging between 2000m and 4,380m and optional hiking to 5,033mon Tserko Ri Peak. Accommodation in comfortable lodges run by local families. The trek starts with a drive from Kathmandu and includes all meals, services of experienced trek guide and porters to carry luggage. Clients carry a day-pack only and walk at their own pace.

Day to Day Itinerary of Ethinic Langtang Trek.

Days 01 :

Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), you will be met by our Airport Representative, and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel. B.B.

Days 02 :
|
Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley (Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhu, and Kathmandu durbar square). Overnight at hotel. B.B.

Days 03 :
|
Morning around 7:00 am drive to Dhunche 2030m. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.

Days 04 :
|
Dhunche trek to Thulo Shyabru Gaon 2210m. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.

Days 05 :
|
Thulo Shyabru Gaon trek to Lama Hotel 2340m. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.

|
Lama Hotel trek to Langtang Village 3330m.Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.

Langtang start trek 2 and half hour to Kyangjing Gompa 3730m. which is last village in this region. After having a lunch we will have a short hike towards Langtang glacier for nearly 2 to 3 hours round trip as a acclimatization hike. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.

Kanjing Gompa Early morning hike up to Tsergo Ri peak (4984m) with pack lunch for panoramic View of Mountains Surrounding ranges. Or we can have a hike up to Kyanjing Ri 4500m. for those people who prefer to have shorter hike or hike to Langshisa valley. Overnight at Guest House. B.L.D.

Peak Endeavour’s Nepal provides an excellent overall experience from the time of arrival in Nepal until you leave on your flight home. Norbu Lama, the owner of Peak Endeavour’s is a very knowledgeable guide. He knows much about the people, religion and regions of Nepalese trekking. Moreover he provided complete sightseeing and shopping in the Kathmandu area during our stay. His staff is courteous, honest and provides professional service and excellent security throughout the trek. The kitchen staff and chief cook understand the health concerns of weak western stomachs and did their best to keep us healthy. No one had health issues throughout our 20 day trek. The pace of the trek is well suited to achieve the altitude goals of the highest pass. Acute Mountain sickness was a non-issue as we progressed at a pace that provided adequate time to adapt to the altitude. The camping outfit provided by Peak Endeavour’s used high quality sleeping and eating tents. We felt like royalty. The trek itself was the best ever. Much diversity of culture, terrain, and ecologies. In summary, we would have no hesitation in any regard to use Peak Endeavour’s Nepal again in the future and greatly enjoyed our trip in 2010. We will be back!
