Testimonial

Peak Endeavour’s Nepal provides an excellent overall experience from the time of arrival in Nepal until you leave on your flight home. Norbu Lama, the owner of Peak Endeavour’s is a very knowledgeable guide. He knows much about the people, religion and regions of Nepalese trekking. Moreover he provided complete sightseeing and shopping in the Kathmandu area during our stay. His staff is courteous, honest and provides professional service and excellent security throughout the trek. The kitchen staff and chief cook understand the health concerns of weak western stomachs and did their best to keep us healthy. No one had health issues throughout our 20 day trek. The pace of the trek is well suited to achieve the altitude goals of the highest pass. Acute Mountain sickness was a non-issue as we progressed at a pace that provided adequate time to adapt to the altitude. The camping outfit provided by Peak Endeavour’s used high quality sleeping and eating tents. We felt like royalty. The trek itself was the best ever. Much diversity of culture, terrain, and ecologies. In summary, we would have no hesitation in any regard to use Peak Endeavour’s Nepal again in the future and greatly enjoyed our trip in 2010. We will be back!

Trip Overview THREE GREAT PASSES

This spectacular trek will more than satisfy the ambitious trekker intent on crossing high passes without the commitment to any technical climbing. The trek offers an enduring experience of natural beauty, geological magnificence and profound cross-cultural discovery. The Sherpa residents of Khumbu, the great valley below Mount Everest, believe that all things - mountains, plants and animals are sacred.

We start this trek from Lukla after 45 minute mountain flight. Trekking through Namche, Tenboche and Finally to Chhukung where we spend a night before crossing Kongma la. Heading towards Everest we cross the Kangma La to the Everest Base Camp and Kala Pattar. After identifying the classic climbing routes to the summit of Everest we complete a spectacular traverse over the Cho La to the alpine pastures and lakes of Gokyo. From Gokyo Ri we gain further outstanding views of Everest before heading over the Renjo La to the Thame. After Thame we will trek to Lukla via Namche and take our flight back to Kathmandu. Clients carry daypack only and walk at their own pace. The walking hour will be about 7-8 hr a day.

Strenuous with dramatic Himalayan scenes, including four of the world's eight highest peaks; Cho Oyu (8,201m), Makalu (8,463m), Lhotse (8,516 m) and Everest (8,850m). Breathtaking mountain vistas are complemented by visits to Sherpa villages, homes and monasteries offering you an insight into the quiet but, culturally vibrant Sherpa way of life.
